I just received my training program and I’m not sure where to start with my workout. What should I do?
You will notice a list of exercises in the main part of your screen. You will also notice four or five separate sections to your workout: Warm-Ups, Activity Primers, Strength, Restoration and Energy. Start with the Warm-Ups then proceed to the Activity Primers. After completing these two sections move into the Strength exercises and finally to the recovery section also known as Restoration.
How do I record my exercises?
In the main part of your screen you will see your workout section. At the bottom of this section you will see a button, “report all”. Click this button if you have completed all the exercises as prescribed in your workout. If you have exceeded the workout suggestions or have not quite met them, you will want to use the “Log Exercise” link within each exercise window. You should see it highlighted in blue. This will provide you with a screen to log your exercise individually. You can change the load, reps, sets, etc…. If you have further questions, just drop us a line and we will do our best to get you a quick answer.
There are some terms like “sets” or “activity pimers” that are foreign to me. Is there a way to find explanations for uncommon terms?
We have incorporated a mouse over feature on My SkiCoach. Just hold your mouse curser over a term that doesn’t make sense and a definition or description will appear. If there is a term that doesn’t have a description and you are unsure of it’s meaning or what to do, just drop us a line and we will be happy to get you a quick response.
I want to take my My SkiCoach workout with me to the gym. Can I use my mobile device?
At this time we do not have a web application, but are working on a future mobile version of My SkiCoach. In the mean time you can click on the Email link and send it to your mobile device or use our Print option to take a hard copy with you to record your workout so you can log it when you return to your computer.
When I click some of the exercises, a separate window opens and says the exercise will be coming soon or is unavailable. When will these exercises be available?
We estimate that we will have all the exercises completed by November, 2008. We are working hard on making your workout experience as seamless as possible. We appreciate your patience while we are in this important BETA phase of the site and will notify you of new exercises when they arrive.
I want to change my workout, how do I do that?
Click on my profile link or choose the "change workout objective" link and you will be able to adjust your training program according to your goals. The "change training objective" link was created to give you a fast and easy way to change your workout without going back and changing your entire profile.
Why can’t I change my overtraining score more than once a day?
Your score is cumulative and therefore if you entered more than one score per day it would not give you the most accurate data.
I want to share my workout with my personal trainer or strength coach. How do I do that?
At this time the only way to share your workout is to give your trainer or coach access to your account. The best way to give your trainer or coach your program is to email it to them by using our convenient Email link at the top of the workout section.
